Manilla, Philippines police RAIDS, shuts down PIG BUTCHER scam operation (99 ARRESTED)

On August 23, 2024, police in Manila, Philippines conducted a raid against an illegal, Chinese-run scam call center that operated under the guise of a licensed online gambling company that was banned by President Ferdinand Marcos. The scammers specifically operated from the Centrium corporate office at Lot 41, Block, GXGV+G2X, 2 Aseana Ave, Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines.

  • The call center. according to police, operated a pig butcher scam operation by having employees pose as wealthy models to entice victims into investing on their manipulated trading platform.
  • 99 individuals were arrested: 32 Filipinos :philippines:, 58 Chinese Nationals :cn: and other foreigners from Malaysia :malaysia:, Myanmar :myanmar:, Indonesia :indonesia: and Vietnam :vietnam:. The individuals all face charges under the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 & the Securities Regulations Code.
