Hey guys, so I’ve been looking into picking up scambaiting as a hobby seeing as I keep watching videos of it and find it incredibly funny, plus it’s just good to waste scammers time. Plus, I kinda want to get into some light white-hat hacking. I have a pretty general knowledge of stuff like RATs and in the past have played around with them before, but never within the context of scambaiting and usually only observationally (I knew a few people who were into hacking and used to do all sorts of shit to people’s systems, but I don’t think they ever did scambaiting). Just looking for a kind of “how to” on some of the more advanced stuff as I can set up a VM and VPN and such myself, but stuff like what specific software to use for ratting (and if I’ll need a crypter and if so what one to use), how to use Wireshark to trace them when they remote in, and whatever extra bits of info there might be for funny ways to screw with scammers (particularly once in their systems).
Basically, I want to scambait and while the whole trace and report thing is good, I do want to learn more advanced tactics and do have the background and skills to learn this stuff if I just see some instructions.
