Looking for a Voice Changer

I am looking for a good voice changer. So far I took a look at the following:

  • * MorphVOX: reputable, available on Steam, but limited in features
  • * Voice Changer Diamond: costs a lot...
  • * VoiceMod: good features, people are saying it's a wirus but it doesn't look like one to me
  • * Voxal: bad quality, messes up a lot of system files with it's hooks
  • * Clownfish: crappy, comes from an unreputable developer, people are saying it's a wirus
  • I've previously used the voice changer built in to my Sound Blaster sound card which was really amazing but I do not have that card anymore.

The main issue with these voice changers I see is trust: they either come from an unreputable company or individual or people are saying it's a wirus (which is understandable as lots of kids use such software in games like Fortnite and they say it's a wirus because they had a cracked version,) but I do not want a program heavily collecting user data and sending it to a Chinese company either.

I know there are good voice changer hardware such as the Roland VT-4 that Kitboga uses, however I don't want to spend that much for something I would only barely use.

What voice changer software do you use (you can include one of which I listed or something else) and do you recommend it? Pros, cons?

Also do people who say the voice changers which said have "crap quality" only have crap quality when you use a potato mic or will they have acceptable quality with a proper microphone? Possibly paired with RTX Voice.

I use clownfish myself, not good quality, but it works

I can’t get one, so I just try a russian accent. So maybe try for an accent if you don’t have confidence in them, possibly?

I use VoiceMod Pro (the paid version) - truth be told, I’m not impressed. So if someone here has a suggestion, I’m open.

    late response but, use morphvox
