LinkResolve - Roku

ROK-U-SERV LLC is a scam operation that tries to sell Roku device buyers services that the actual Roku site says are free (e.g. device activation). One night after picking up a new Roku device, I was trying to register it online and received an on-screen error on the TV. In a rush to get the device activated, I picked up my tablet, searched for Roku support and accidentally clicked on the link for "LinkResolve - Roku. I called the # listed and someone with a strong accent picked up. I mentioned the issue with activation and she went on to say she would help me activate the device for a fee of $99.99. Thinking this sounded somewhat strange, I asked her why the Roku device packaging didn’t mention anything about an activation charge. She gave me an incoherent response at which time I told her “i would think about it and activate it online later on”. She responded by saying I could not activate the device online and that she would do it for me for a price. I responded “No” and hung up. The following day I found the site I clicked on the night before and started a chat session with a “Brenda”. I asked “why the scam” and after some unpleasant back-and-forth she switched me over to a “Kenneth”. Kenneth and I then went on to have an unpleasant chat exchange over the next few days as I would periodically engage the chat option to interact with the scammers. At one point, Kenneth admitted he was a scammer and "didn’t give a “S###” what I thought about his occupation. So from that point on I’ve been periodically ‘checking in’ with this scam operation to remind them that I haven’t forgotten them. Their website is: https://www.linkresolve.us/ but it appears this is a small operation. The phone # listed on a bogus invoice they sent me during another scam baiting moment is 1-866-240-0010. When the person picks up and eventually learn you’re scam baiting them, the person will refuse to answer any subsequent calls. The scam packages they sell for the so-called Roku support are a joke. One claim is that they can help you obtain “40,000 channels” thru Roku. That one time fee was somewhere around $299.00. This experience with LinkResolve was the first time I was unwittingly engaged by a scammer even though I never fell for the scam. It also caused me to search out scammers.info and become a scam baiter.
