Laurentz Simprevil, Steve Castamby ARRESTED for Bank of America SCAM

On March 3, 2025, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in Tarpon Springs, Florida arrested Laurentz Simprevil and Steve Castamby for serving as money mules for a scam facilitated under the guise of Bank of America. The two men demanded $5,000 from a victim, who was asked to seal the cash in a bag and leave it in their mailbox before a police chase ensued.

Castamby was caught after running into the woods and has been charged with

  • Grand theft
  • Resisting an officer without violence.

Simprevil sped away and often drove the wrong way before he was taken down with stop sticks and a K-9. He has been charged with

  • Grand theft
  • Fleeing and eluding
  • Tampering with physical evidence
  • Driving with a suspended/revoked license.
  • Resisting an officer without violence.

Both men have since been bonded out of jail.
