I keep getting scam calls from here and there not as much as I use to though. I put my number on the do not call registry list awhile ago. This doesn’t really bother me since I have the silence feature in my iPhone but I’m just curious why I keep getting them even though I put my number on the do call registry list and I put my dads number on it too.
It is not unusual to suddenly get more calls after signing up these days, since the DNC only covers Telemarketing Sales calls. All anyone has to do to get numbers is register as a new user with an EIN. An Employer Identification Number (EIN) is a number assigned by the Internal Revenue Service to companies and organizations. The first 5 area codes are free per user, so if a scam outfit has multiple company names registered, they can register multiple user accounts and get different sets of area codes.
