Just so some people realize scam companies can spoof real company numbers so that when they call you they look like they are calling from lets say for example (microsoft) but in reality they are not. For one thing Microsoft will NEVER CALL and NEVER SEND POPUPS and NEVER SEND EMAILS telling you something is wrong with your computer it is ALWAYS ALWAYS A SCAM
If you want to be sure get a name and then call them back and ask to speak to the same person most times you can’t. Plus you will get the real company and they to know if this is happening.
Most scam companies will not accept a bank card (credit or debit) they will usually ask for bitcoin, bank check. or some other way that cannot be trace. And if they do accept cards they will say you will need to call the bank and authorize the payment. DON'T DUE THIS. Then you won't be able to get your money back.
Legit companies should have reviews several places like Facebook, Twitter, and the best site would be the Better Business Bureau since you have to become a member and then they are keeping track of how the business is performing. BBB Accreditation signifies trust and integrity, and an unwavering commitment to consumers.
Make sure to check #'s before you call them. Enter the number on the Better Business Bureau's website www.bbb.org it will let you know if it is legitimate and they have lots of information about what to look for to spot a scam
And most important work with a company in the United States. Most companies have outsourced overseas and well you never know who you are actually speaking to. (scary world out there and I want to speak to someone I can understand)
