Looks like they search it on a homeowners database for your name so they know that you are legit. Once they found out, they said they where getting the cops put me on hold. They got an american person on the line asking for my badge number. I hung up after a bit because he just said it over and over.

Once I gave them my fake name, he asked for my phone number. I gave them a fake phone number. Then he said I was not Alan Green and that I am in trouble with the IRS. I tried my best to fool him and it didn’t work. I did however have the time to lecture him for being a dirty rotten scammer before he hung up on me.
If you want to completely disarm them, greet them in Hindi first. If you get a dude, say ‘Namastay Mahoday’ or a girl ‘Namastay mahoday-ah’.

He was really rude to me.
One said I was in trouble with the IRS and then gave me the badge number or the depuraty of the IRS and said something like “I know this guy”
