The scammers sent an illegal robocall to my cell phone, which is on the do-not-call list, to try and get me into making a $50, $75 or $100 payment to the Committee for Police Officers’ Defense, which is listed as operating out of 10521 Judicial Drive, Suite 200, Fairfax, Virginia, 22030.
His scam has been reported to scammer.info several times in the past, as well as in the news, where it was reported that most of the money raised doesn’t go to police officers, but the telemarketers who made the illegal robocalls.

I’m having a lot of fun playing with these hundred-dollar gift card man I was wasting this guy’s time for 3 hours I know this is 100% scam I wish I could have recorded that conversation
It appears that this James Fotis piece of shit has been running this scheme for quite some time. I found an article from 10 years ago about this asshole:
Great research as always. I spent some time doing deep dives into some of these because in addition to the telemarketers getting a lot of money out of this, there’s frequently an angle where the president or promoter or whatever is lining their own packets although they’re getting better at hiding it. Sometimes there are clues in the FEC filings if it’s PAC.
I sent these clowns a cease-and-desist email, I wrote down requests for my number to be added to their do-not-call list, but these assholes won’t stop fucking calling me!
Interestingly, these are all numbers on the network of Fractel. I am not surprised for some reason. Many red flags with this carrier, and I had an absolutely terrible experience with reporting scam calls to them.
