This is working number an it’s big call center and they are all new people for IRS scammers

@Lucky82#32480 me neither, I just get in the wait line and then it kicks me out at 6 mins into. I have a feeling that they’re letting it sit just to troll us. That or they forgot to shut it down.

The number could be down or it could be busy or just temporarily not being used. Some call centers can tell if you are using VOIP. Also, they are smart enough to know that the IRS does not call people on the weekend, so trying on a Saturday or Sunday is not going to work well. There is a myriad of reasons that numbers don’t work.
