They have spent a lot of money on offline campaigns in shopping centers and some sports sponsorship, especially in Madrid. I’ve done a little research on the company and its founder, and it’s disturbing to say the least:
Oubita is a brand of oubitando SL, a company registered in Spain just a few months ago, according to einforma and as evidenced by the publication in BORME of the Mercantile Registry of Madrid.
They boast of having a license to operate as an exchange in Spain, but it is not a license granted by the CNMV or anything similar, it is an Estonian license granted (eye to the data) to ANOTHER Estonian company called Oubitando öu. Who am I a client of then if I use their services? From Oubitando SL to have protection as a Spanish consumer? Or Oubitando ÖU and therefore any claim must be made in Estonia?
