If you gain access to an Indian tech scammers computer, is it illegal to steal money from their operation? If not, are there only certain things I can do with it?
@brasilia3#137312 I believe it would be illegal in the US as well, as there are several laws prohibiting the access and abuse of computers without consent. Now, if the scammers would actually take legal action, that is another question given that they would have to expose their illegal activity in order to prosecute yours!
I have been able to scam money out of some, but not via the computer though. They willfully sent it to me via FedEx ;-)

ok, so i understand illegal to steal from them, however will anyone actually care? will the scammers expose me? can i hold their files for ransom and get them to send me money for it?
Stealing money from scammers is wrong. You are not stealing their money, you are stealing money that they stole. It is not your money, it is not their money. It is the money of innocent victims.
