Usually, when they ask what number I got the call on, I can confuse them by playing dumb, giving them the number I called, etc... didn't work here, and the guy (Officer William) just hung up.

I thought that just saves you from the VM to keep things ringing... does it do something else that I'm not aware of?!? I usually do it when I get the prompt, but if they keep hanging up immediately once connected with me, you can only dial the number so many times before it gets quite boring... use 'em up, move on to the next!
