These people are checking numbers. I had to call a few times. Each time I talked to a different person who asked me what number did I receive this call on. Once I told them my fake number they hung up. On about the third try I used my old grandma voice and got Steve Johnson. He told me about owing $5276 on my taxes and asked if I wanted to go to jail or resolve this matter. I said I wanted to resolve this. He transferred me to the "higher authority". When the "higher authority" came on the phone one of the first things he asked me was on what number I received this call. I tried to dodge this question by asking for him to repeat his name. He than accused me of playing with the phone. At that point I went back to my regular voice and started to yell at him. I called him a few obscenities and told he to stop scamming people. I heard him say some cuss words to me.
Then the line went quiet. I have started to make it my policy not to hang up on these calls, I let them hang up. TextNow did not show that the line was hung up yet. So I kept calling him a wimp for not talking to me and lecturing him on how he hurts people by scamming them. TextNow went so quiet that I finally hung up on him.
