The site poses as a forum for people to discuss essay writing services, and at first the site looks pretty legit. There are thousands upon thousands of forum posts and strangely enough the site does actually contain a lot of solid advice. What tipped it off for me (and gave me a good chuckle in the process) were reviews for these sites that are promoted by essayscams.org. Below is a review I found on essayscams.org, about GraduateWriter.com. A site that claims to offer various essay writing services. Keep that in mind when reading this review.
"I was prescribed GraduateWriter.com by my primary-care physician. We reviewed all the options and decided that the risks and benefits of GraduateWriter.com made sense for me. I was informed of all the potential side effects. So far, I've experienced only a bit of pain and tingling in my extremities, along with decreased appetite. I'm hopeful that these symptoms will go away within a few days. If they persist, or if others appear, I will contact my doctor. I will not stop using GraduateWriter.com on my own, because the dosage must be tapered under supervision of a medical professional. I am not a doctor, and this is not medical advice. Ask your primary health care provider about GraduateWriter.com. Individual results may vary."
Here's a another one that got a laugh from me.
"In clinical trials, GraduateWriter has been shown 99.1 percent effective in preventing pregnancy when used correctly. However, it's not for everyone. GraduateWriter.com does not prevent against sexually transmitted diseases. Like all medications, it has risks, benefits and side effects. Ask your doctor about GraduateWriter.com."
There are some genuine users in and amongst the sea of fake reviews but for the most part the site is a complete facade used to promote 4 sites, all of which are run by scammers. Outside of essayscams.org you can find some real reviews, here you can find stories of sites blackmailing students by threatening to tell their tutors that they bought their essays. If you do actually manage to get an essay from them you can be sure it is of horrible quality, plagiarised and grossly overpriced.
This is a cautionary message, there are no reputable essay writing services out there. They do not exist. They are unicorns. All these sites are run from India and the essays written by ESL writers. It is much smarter to either write the essays yourself, or if the time doesn't allow it, then retake the year. The alternative is being kicked out of your University/College for cheating or being extorted for money by these scammers.
I was surprised that there was no "Essay Writing" tag for this site because it is quite a large industry completely full to the brim with scam sites. Even the sites made for rating and reviewing these essay writing sites are themselves completely full of fake reviews.
In a more desperate time in my life, about 3 years ago, I tried ordering from these sites. I thought it was about time I did a write up on them. I only know of this site because of Jim Browning, this is my first post, so no clue if long form posts like this are the norm but I wrote it anyway.
