Cold call from ‘Intuit’ about QuickBooks being corrupted. This number appears to be the direct line for “Alex.” He had called a friend of mine who passed the info on to me. I called him from one of my burners and he launched into his script immediately and wasn’t phased by not knowing my name, or that I use QuickBooks Online as opposed to the traditional QuickBooks.
According to him, the fact I can’t see an update option on the help page of QBO means that my account is corrupted and it needs to be repaired.
Sadly I had to go at the point, but this is a new one on me.
