I got a call regarding my satellite service, where the caller stated that the satellite service had become highly infected by computer hackers and that in order to fix the problem that they must got onto the computer. I told them that I wasnt falling for it, but then they blocked up my satellite service. Now I have to pay a fee to unlock my satellite service for overage cap as it got blocked and capped up but its not even at the amount that is legally allowed to be capped. So I called the CCTS and I got a refund from carrier billing, and they sent me my text message but when i filled out the form i got processing error on my interac transfer. So i called interac and they told me that they had no record of a refund from them about it. So I called the CCTS back and they told me that they never ever issue refunds, even though its in the consumer protection act. They only issue credits even tho it says refunds. So I called the refund department and they told me I had to give them the credit card number directly for it to process through. So Obviously I did, then my bank account got blocked up and netflix, palpal and amazon prime. So then I had to contact each and every single one of them to unblock the accounts. So I dono what happened because I was entitled to a refund under consumer protections act from CRTC CCTS due to the data block violations.
Do you have any idea how your satellite service got blocked?
The best advice I can give is to call each of the companies on their publicly listed number, not a number from some random email or phone call you may have received, and explain the situation.
