I received a fake receipt via email for “Norton Crew” totaling $429.99, and a phone number to call if I want to dispute the charges. I called and left my phone on mute, so they kept me on the line. As I was listening, its a typical refund scam, telling people to click on some remote control tools. They are speaking Hindi and are playing music very loudly. I dont think its a well organized group, to say the least.
I was able to listen to the phone call from someone else there.
Auto renewal for Norton Lifelock
When you bought the computer, there was a trial, then it expired, and now its been auto renewed.
If you dont want the subscription, tell them, and they'll guide you into how to cancel it.
They will connect you to a manager to start the cancellation process.
