Additional information about this scam: Seen these types of scams in my email, but with gmail getting good at blocking then, now getting them in the mail lol.

Spam blocking’s improved so much, these 419 scams went from digital back to the good-old days of paper mail. Lot of red flags with this email, including:
- Several phone numbers that are either taken out of service or belonging to innocent third parties (I did verify with the PBX)
- Their website of fwb-lawyers.com being blocked by CloudFlare
- Failure to identify the “reputable bank”
There is a legitimate Canadian law firm by the name of Fleming, White and Burgess at the listed Toronto address, but everything else was falsified by the impersonator who intended to defraud you.
It’s also worth pointing out that these letters have been circulating for several years now, albeit with the scammer impersonating multiple law firms.
