So… I was wondering if when I connected to the scammer’s pc, if I could infect them with wannacry (the ransomware) which I happen know how to get. Is that legal for me to do? Or should I stick with something less intrusive.
No. It’s illegal, and also pointless.
“Destroying” a scammers computer is absolutely a waste of time. They’re able to fully restore everything within 2 hours or so as they more than likely keep backups. (And I’ve seen backups before).
Like I was saying, it’s completely illegal to infect someone with ransomware. I obviously don’t know where you are, but here in England it would come under the Misuse of Computers Act.
@NeooomScambaiting#171583 Alright. I assume if its illegal in england, its illegal in the US.
How if I were to keep something on my desk top and hey stole it and opened it on thier computer ?
I did not do it ,they did it to themself’s !!
