(Important Notice Regarding Your Resume with BREEZY HR!) SCAM!

Scam Skype Number: live:.cid.6d47f3c85370b524
Scammer’s Website or Email: [email protected]
Additional information about this scam: I received this email from a scammer which claimed I was going to be interviewed for a Remote Software Engineer. I was honestly SUPER exited when i heard this, because I applying for those types of jobs on indeed, and I am 18 yo, so its not that easy for me to get a job like that. The email looked legit, it was asking for a “good-ole” skype conference, and not some messed up crap like Telegram. But then I went to call them on skype and they did not pick up. they then proceeded to chat with me, and it was at that point when things started to look oddly familiar to the stupid telegram crap. I was honestly very pissed because I was super exited to hopefully be able to get a good computer software engineer remote job. But… that did not happen :frowning:.

Here is the email (note: its a chain):

This is by far the most a scammer has ever pissed me off before. I always knew Job Scams annoy and piss off everyone who either half way or fully falls for it, but this is the first time I had ever really been involved in one first hand. I now know that this is just super annoying and frustrating. I could only imagine how enraged someone who unfortunately fell for the scam and lost money would feel. at the end of the day, they would have both “lost” a job they thought they had, and lost a fair bit of money.

Anyway, do what you guys do best, and mess with these human scums, and… you know, try and take them down. Thank you!

Sorry that happened to you man. At least you caught on fairly early & didn’t send them any money or anything right? The bad part is all the personal info that got from you when applying for the job. I would start with a police report. I’m not sure how much credit you have attained scince you are only 18 but check with the 3 credit agencies if you do. Also keep a close eye on your financials to make sure nothing funny is going on. you may want to look into getting a new ss card issued as well. There are a lot of good videos on YT that explain what steps you should take immediately when hit with identity theft. I wish there was more I could say to help.

Thanks for your help, it really dose mean a lot! Thankfully, they only got my first and last name (because of my stupid email signature) and my email address. I was using a VPN (and a TOR proxy, because I am sort of paranoid LOL). While they might be able to get a little bit more info online about me, they probably will not be able to get enough to pull off identity theft. Either way, I am defiantly going to keep a close eye on my financial crap, and I am defiantly going to use burner email addresses for everything else I do online that’s not part of my actual job (well, when I get one… I used to work for a company (not going to say who now because I don’t want anyone to find out more about me than they already do after this), but um, they where bought out). I would file a police report, but my local police are, well, sort of D*cks. One time someone broke into my house in the middle of the night, and when the police got here, they said I was “dreaming because it was late”, they even refused to look at the security footage… so umm, I can only imagine what they would say about a group of scammer’s that did not yet pull off identity theft, but maybe could. And it’s not just me, literally everyone I talk to in my town hates the local cops because they have a huge “chip on their shoulder”. But, anyway, what really scared me about this particular scam, is the fact that they use skype, which makes them look way more legit. They also use their own custom email domain, instead of just using a Gmail account. Now thinking about this afterwards, I probably could have known it was a scam if I had seen that they referenced them selves as being 3 different businesses. Thankfully I did not exchange any money, and I did not exchange any financial information.
I am really thankful for this community, because honestly, I was not even thinking about identity theft before you guys brought it up, and now I realize that its actually conceivable that they could possibly pull off identity theft, no matter how unlikely it might be.

First of all thank you ReconScammers for posting that. I was preoccupied with a bunch of things today so I didn’t have much time to research, bait, or even post all day today. I’m glad to hear that’s all they got away with Ashfox. I believe Identity theft is the main purpose to most of these fake employer scams but I’m pretty new to the community so I could be wrong. But once they have your Identity they will try to aquire credit cards in your name, take out cash advances, open bank accounts, take out loans in your name, buy cars…the list goes on & on & the damage lasts for years. Sometimes you could be cleaning up the mess for a decade or more depending on how much damage they shit sacks do.
I actually completely understand about the police not caring. It’s been my personal experience dealing with law enforcement & government agancies as well when I go to report these criminals. Half the time they take the time to listen to what’s presented to them & the other half of the time they act as if they can’t be bothered or you’re disrupting their day just for calling them. No wonder crime is up an ungodly rate world wide. These government agents want to do as little work as possible just to justify getting a paycheck. But even so, there are still a few good people left in positions of power that do good things. It just sucks that you have to wade through the shit all the time to find them.
