If someone spoofed my mac address and are possibly watching whatever i may be doing on my phone or computer, is it possible to close them off my screen by closing specific port numbers on my device?

All this is considering that i have already changed my mac address using a MAC Address changer like SMAC but still do not feel safe because probably my WIFI internet network may not be secure enough and my ISP is probably doing little about it. Welp, you get the picture, i need help, if anyone can respond with help will be great!

Nobody can watch you through spoofing your MAC address, it would more likely be your IP address, but even then they don’t need to spoof it.

If they have a RAT on your computer then they can watch what you’re doing by connecting to your IP address, that’s what you meant. Having your IP or MAC address is pretty useless as it only gives someone your approximate location, they can’t just connect to your IP unless they used some unknown zero day exploit and your device was vulnerable, or as I said, they have a RAT or similar malware installed on your computer, which would require you to run an executable.

So what you’re saying is that even with a RAT on my computer, its impossible for the attacker to see what is happening in my screen. Let’s say I am writing up this reply on my Chrome Browser right now…you are confident that the RAT cannot send a streaming video feedback of my computer screen back to the attacker.

As a plus, I am using a vpn and have used several malware removal tools which seem to not work. I am aware of this problem because i can tell when the attacker responds with things very familiar to me in various other places I visit on the internet, which includes my email messages.

If i would tell any random person that my device or computer screen is being monitored this way, i would definitely look like tripping or hallucinating. But I’m not…I once clicked on some foreign image sent to my email back in 2019 and that’s when my problem started.

That’s not what I said at all, if someone has a RAT on your computer they can see everything you’re doing, log your keystrokes, access your files and more…

The port doesn’t need to be opened on your PC, However the attacker would need an open port.

A Typical port would be: 5552 Which would be weird for most programs/services to request. The Malware wouldn’t need an open port on your PC. If you’re paranoid Get an IDS.

Glasswire - Windows
Open Snitch - Linux
LuLu/Little Snitch - Mac OS X

It’s not hard given all are GUI Based IDS Systems and will alert you to new Activity. If a RAT is on your PC Most will enable persistence but will not have a signature. Simply open tskmgr.exe via Windows Key + R type it in and go to “startup” Find a random program that doesn’t belong if you’re unsure figure right click and click “Open File Location” Simply find it. Once done have Windows defender get rid of it and if it doesn’t check windows defender’s Exception List.

Given I doubt you have a Malware problem this is just a rhetorical statement.

Okay got it
