Idemia Recruiterment Scam | Job Scam

Yesterday I received a text from the T-Mobile number (404) 931-0695 regarding them seeing my resume on Indeed/Ziprecruiter job boards (first red flag, they didn’t specify). The job was for a Remote Data Entry Specialist for $28.75 (second red flag, high asf pay for such an easy job).

I was redirected to speak to a fake Andrew Diefenderfer on Microsoft Teams, their email on it was [email protected]. Third red flag, the interview was over text, no face-to-face, where I just answered like 10 generic questions and then they’d “review” it.

Day later, I was “hired” and sent an email from: Angela Saeed [email protected], with the domain being an un-made Zoho website, fourth red flag.

With all the being said, I was already hella suspicious by the time I was reached out in Teams, I was unable to get in contact with someone at Idemia yesterday, but managed to speak to someone there today. The operator ensured me that I would have needed to actually apply at an Idemia position, then I would receive a phone call and follow-up email, and that both email addresses, the northamerica and outlook ones, were not actual emails that Idemia uses.

It is likely they are using a script, so here is some of the messages so that in the hopes someone copy-pastes it due to them being suspicious, they might find this thread:

it’s too annoying to continue, but hopefully this is enough. I am trying to pull a Corey before blocking them, and I think they sold my info to other recruitment scammers. So much fun! I love Indeed and Ziprecruiter!!!

Yup, Just got a message of this myself. Thankfully I googled and found this information before taking the Microsoft teams call. I instead got a call from 470 930 3672 and they said they were Carol Davis the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist from Idemia North America for the Data Entry Specialist on Indeed/Zip Recruiter. I searched up the company and individual. Both legit, I will try to inform the recruiter someone is using their name, although I doubt anything will be done.
