I got a call from 19178739086. They say that they are the police and i need to pay a fine. Is this a scam. Can somebody check?

I tried calling that number (+1 917-873-9086) just got the IVR saying it’s the 33rd Precinct of the New York City Police Department press number etc.

googled “33rd Precinct of the New York Police Department” and got a different number (+1 212-927-3200) tried that and got the same IVR. l so i’m not sure if the OP number is a copy or is genuine etc…
