So, a few days ago, I called a tech support scammer with the number of (800)470-8933. I looked into this and the number belongs to a company called iTech Smart Pc. When I called, a guy picked up who claimed that this was his personal phone number and he gets calls everyday by people he doesn’t know. He even gave me his personal number which was far different than the one I called. I don’t know if I should believe this or if this is actually some poor guy’s number.
hey, so I just had a lengthy chat with this guy on fire rtc, he seems to be legit and I highly doubt he’s a scammer. If possible coudld you please delete his number he was literally in tears saying people kept calling his number!!!
No this is a scam.
@thunder#12813 Really? How are you sure?
@thunder#12813 im fairly sure it isnt i just spoke to the guys he claimed he works at uber, and is tired of calls
wait never mind i just called him again and he was acting suspicious, he gave me his “name” as Charles Michael M
Marsh he said he was indian jew which is super weird tho
It’s a scam he told me that he was gonna rape my sister. The he cursed and faped in the background. It’s a scammer he switch from tech support to Uber later in the day.
It’s a Scam
they are amateurs,
I called them pretending to be from the SIP VOIP technical desk (LOL) and that we had a request to call about the problems they have been having with prank callers. I told him that I had two "special clients" that were very angry that had the same thing happen to them. I got onto the guy that manages their network (LOL)
atm they are getting about 10 calls per day. Before they got 10,000 :-)
Agents - 25-40 agents
4-5 days ago they got a call flooder that knocked out their operations and they had to change their number again
they have to manually block each number. They can block calls with no id and from skype, but they don't know where else they get their tech to keep changing their caller id (LOL)
I said that he can have a program that will block the fake numbers. and he gave me his email
He also gave me his direct number and the IP address for his SIP
Not sure if to post here or send to the boss for further action, please advise
problem I see with posting here is that everyone will flood his email and personal phone and sip IP and will just change them, he can then do a google search and find our site.
OK Message sent to moderator to decide.
They scammer is waiting for a email with software that will identify “Prank Callers” with fake numbers, could be useful… Also, he only uses the two sip ip addresses mentioned
This is Daeld signing off for the night.
direct email: i t h e l p d e s k @ j e t i n f o s y s . n e t
direct number + 9 1 7 0 0 6 8 1 5 6 5 9
ip for the sip: 1 0 3 . 2 2 7 . 1 1 7 . 2 0 4 or 2 0 3
sorry for the spaces, wasn't sure what the best way was to avoid a simple search from finding it.
@Daeld#12838 Googling that domain name returns a set of interesting results, which indeed confirms that its a scammer.
Oh, totally, I forgot to say, I spoke to the guy as if I were an agent for, essentially, big shot scamming companies who wanted revenge on the scambaiters and wanted to monitor this guy’s sip traffic to find out where the scammers did their DDoS or call flooding from (LOL), which he bought. He confirmed he’s a scammer while we were talking.
@Daeld#12836 If they find our site then so be it lol. Deters scamming
I came across this forum looking for scam numbers to flood call. I just started doing this a couple of days ago with an auto redial app on my mobile. Have done two 1800 numbers. They are still switching the number on every now and then to see if I’ve gotten bored but as soon as I call once they have opened the line they shut it down for a number of hrs. I am not so convinced that they are blocking just silent number callers, the 1800 number is shut down.
The auto redial app is brilliant. Just type in 1831 to hide your number then 1800xxxxxx and set the settings to redial every few seconds after hang up. I have had 3 mobiles dialing the same number at the same time. Yes there are quite a few in the scammer boiler rooms. No effort, no cost, no need to say anything, brilliant.
Call this number, they are truly stupid.
that is a acammer trying to remove his number from the list , I just called him and trolled hibgm so hard
So I spoke with the owner today. He had diverted the number to his house (outside of main US business hours). I almost feel sorry for him (though not really) because it seems he’s quite new at this and has really bitten off more than he can chew. He is overwhelmed with how much scambaiter traffic is on his system and had even given up the Uber thing (which he reckons he does to try to put off the scambaiters “overnight”). I got cut off a couple of times due to other calls (on my end) and one the times I called back, I had a chance to speak to his wife. She sounded quite nice and decent, and I’m not sure that she knew about her husband’s illegal activities. anyway, he confirmed that he monitors this website. He initially tried to tell me about how he’s a legit company, but of course couldn’t answer basic information about the business and what it does. He said that competitors put his number on pop-ups to try to get him to look like a scammer. Of course, couldn’t identify any way of getting to his number from a us IP by doing a google search, nor could he tell me why his agents behave like scammers when taking a call. Afterwards he gave up the act and after swearing at me in a rather sheepish tone, we had a nice chat. For some reason, though, he was quite angry with me and didn’t want to talk to me after I talked to his wife…go figure!
I called him and he answered as “scotts tech support”, when i asked him if he was a legitimate tech support he kept saying, “how are you doing today prankster” and then said he was on the phone with my dad for two hours yesterday and hung up. Definitely a weird one, probably a scammer too judging by his reaction
@RemoveScammer#13001 Its the same guy, he’s been having problems and has diverted his phone to home. He may be between setups at the moment or he may already have a new number but using this one to distract. He’s probably set up a new VOIP ip address too, but we’ll see.
