This scam has been popping up more recently. A person would send you a friend request through discord or steam and would say “Hey bro can we discuss important matters” And then goes onto say “I accidentally reported you to the steam admin and he said your account will be banned, I tried to tell him but he wouldn’t listen to me” Then they would tell you to talk to a steam admin on discord. They impersonate actual steam admins btw. So The steam admin will tell you to send him your purchase history which is a way they get hold of your username and then to do a bunch of other stuff. I got scammed but got my account back.
