Title: Alice's guide on scambaiting Tech Support Scammers.

Good day, everyone. -

Here's my guide on scambaiting tech support scammers and wasting their time. =

What you need

A VM (Virtual Machine) -

I'd recommend installing the softwares listed below
Oracle Virtual Box https://www.virtualbox.org
VMWare Workstation Player https://my.vmware.com/en/web/vmware/free#desktop_end_user_computing/vmware_workstation_player/15_0

Now with them installed you would have to install an OS on it! -

VMWare Workstation Player https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKovmpGKmQ0

After you have set up your OS on the VM you will need to decorate it so scammers think you're a legit victim. -

I have some files to start you off with but I recommend you to install more files as if it's your own PC.

Now you will need to hide that you're using a VM -

I found 2 tutorial that you can use!

Now with all that information you'll need have personal information to give the scammer. -

Use sites like

(Optional) There are many tools to troll scammers in different ways! I'd recommend you to install them for more fun! -

Like always.

Happy Scambaiting! =

Yeah, intuitive, but lacks the part where you have to hide the fact that you are using a VM. If the scammer checks your drivers and sees VM, he will instantly hang up.

Now most of the scammers are dumb and so greedy to get your credit card info, they won't even bother to check if you are even a legit victim. But this does not apply to all of the scammer's race.

In order to change your drivers's names, you have to look it on google or youtube (because it's kinda complicated to explain it and I need to put out specific values to find what you need on regedit). I've seen a Jim Browning video covering it, so check him out on Youtube.

Oh, and you'll also need to download stuff to make it look like you use the VM like you use your PM (Discord, Steam, idk, just fill your Desktop).

But other than that, good guide.

@HER#68623 Hey. Thanks for the help I’ll be editing the guide on what to remove so it looks like a legit desktop!

Oof I forgot you can’t edit it when it’s posted…

Great little guide for helping new users get into the world of scambaiting!

I do suggest, adding advice on using snapshots on Oracle Virtual Box, Saves a lot of time when something goes wrong like scammers install some sort of programs or just need to go back to when the machine was clean and fresh.

Alright I’ll add that when I get time
