ok.. i got it. now i just have to get the localhost-- custom url to work on vm.. just keeps saying.. this site cant be reached only on the vm even if i use localhost.
so on the loaded vm i downloaded off the page is all set up i got everything done but no matter what i do i cant get it to show on the vm not even localhost page to pop up on the browser.
as your bank is running on local machine (your normal PC) you need to repeat the steps with the modified hosts file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts on your VM
but instead of localhost you have to put in the IP of your local machine (if you use a VPN it might differ depending on your VPN, I had to disable “stay invisible on lan” with nordvpn)

Amazing i now have this working to and extent however i cant get my hosts file to show the bank web address i set. i was testing this out on my laptop running windows 11. no mater what i do i changed the info in the hosts file it just wont connect via the web address. I was setting all this up on the laptop as i can network transfer the files and setup over to my PC witch will run the bank site.
