How To Detect A Sus Site

POV: you just googled “Microsoft support” and set the search to only show items in the past 24 hours. You’re waiting for scam sites to show up, but how do you know what’s a scam and what’s legit? Here are my methods where I find sus sites, and antivirus/VPN pop ups and so on:

First Rule: 99% of the time, if you see a site with a .it ending and some random text, it’s a scam.
2. If you have an apple device, you don’t actually have to click on a site. Just touch the link with your finger for a couple seconds and a preview will pop up!
3. Does the title of the site make sense? Is it misspelled, miscapitalized (ex. microsoft supporT instead of Microsoft Support), or just plain doesn’t make sense? Like for example, does “Microsoft teams stock exchange” make sense to you? Probably not.
And last tip: trust your instincts. If a site seems sus to you, it’s probably a scam.

How can I get search results to only show the past 24 hours? Search what your want to see, then click “Tools”, right next to “Settings” right below the search bar. Click “Any Time” and switch it to “Last 24 Hours”.
