Textnow (App(Android) or web browser(Any device), I am using web browser on Windows)
I do this in private mode (Chrome) so as to not interfere with any other accounts during creation. Once you have signed in to your new gmail then sign into textnow.com/login using "Log in with Google"
Choose your account on the popup (you might need popup blockers disabled to allow sign in). The next few steps you should be able to figure out by yourself. Once you get to textnow.com/messaging then select "settings" from the menu on left. Change the gmail to the Alternate email, then check that email (it may be in spam) and click email link to confirm. Now on textnow.com/messaging click on Password. Enter anything in the "Old password", then enter your new password in the sections provided, click save. Now this account can be signed in using the Alternate email and password. If you want another account just signout of gmail/textnow and repeat until you have enough textnow accounts.
If you get stuck with the spinning circle after you click to sign in with google
then it’s most likely a popup blocker is blocking the sign in page. Try private mode and/or turning popup blockers off. You can also try the textnow app on android which shouldn’t block sign in. Just be aware the app does have slightly intrusive ads. Any problems just ask me.
Just to clarify some of the steps. This is the settings menu in textnow
and below is where you change it from the gmail to the alternate email and click “save”
and below is where you set a password
Now use the alternate email and password you set to sign in. Keep repeating until you have enough textnow numbers. I’ve noticed textnow allows free calls to Australian 1800 and landline numbers for free.
You know I’ve already tried this Aussie and yes as Neep said - awesome tutorial.
Confirmed working and great to test numbers prior to posting to Bob or if you just wanna go berko with TextNow - get creating them accounts folks before TextNow finds out and possibly puts fixations on what I'm currently considering to be a slight loophole :)
@AussieScamBuster#125325 I’ve been asked by a scam Baiter on YouTube ! If you are using Text Now on a computer can you’re I.P address be located or does the Text Now website protect against I.p sniffing .The software is unusable using a VPN it’s to slow !
Or take the easy route (without needing multiple emails and VPNs):
-Download the Textnow apk (I'm using an old one from January 2019)
-When creating an account, in 'email' and 'password' type in whatever you want
-Use those credentials to log in with your pc on https://www.textnow.com/messaging
@MaxGame#136757 What i was doing since beginning of 2018 up until a few months ago I had spoofed my location to the states and was making calls and texting a friend of mine that lives there with and without WiFi I was able to do this without being charged a cent up until recently. They caught on unfortunately but hey 2yrs of free international calls and messages I can’t complain.
