I just rang a scammer on the number 1-877-410-0799, after about 10 mins of the usual stuff, he clocked that I was scam baiting we spoke and i found out that on average he makes $500 a month, he said that the scammers we SHOULD be baiting are IRS scammers. He also spoke about why he scams, he said he scams because its the only job that people can get in a city with over 2 million people in, he admits he is a scum bag. Any further questions to what he said feel free to ask.
I don’t think the people we speak with make that much. Those who run the call centers make all the money. I read somewhere that the people on the phone make whatever amount they scam in rupees. So if they scam someone for $500, they’ll collect 500 rupees from that.
I believe it depends more on the location of the scammer. Some of them are making way more than that, but I am sure some truly are making 500. Besides, he could have just told you that so you’d leave them alone.
No the guy was keen to tell me information as he doesn’t like his job but he has to do it? idk his accent was pretty hard to understand.
Well I guess it sucks for him then. I remember in one of Jim Browning’s videos he accessed a scammer’s PC and saw a pay table indicating some of them on par of making 40k+ a year. Guess it all depends on how good they are with scamming.
That figure of $500 per month is in the right range. for Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon and Mumbai scammers.
Scammers in Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Chandigarh and Dehradun make less money.
Starting salary is low ..typically $180 plus "incentives" plus one meal plus round trip shared cab home/work.
The owners make for more. For example two bothers at Geeks America (Chandigarh, India) netted over $250,000 in April this year
