How many travel scams work:
Many travel scammers have a genuine call center and a scam room.
The genuine call center operator takes the call and for payment he switches to an IVR. He looses the connection and behind the scene backroom scammer notes down victim info and bills for genuine purchase and make unrelated purchases over many weeks. The victim does not realize that the unauthorized purchases originated from the travel call center.
I’ve always wondered how many of the travel agencies posted here, proven scam or not, are fronts for scams.
