Hello! I’ve been following scambaiting for a long time, but now I’ve reached the point where, after repeated calls, I want to take action against the scammers too! Anyone who is knowledgeable on the subject and could help me as a beginner please post a comment and if you have time please attach any links that might be relevant during a scambaiting (virtual machines, voip providers…) Thanks in advance! Take care!
this is what you need to get with started with
https://voip.ms/
you will need a separate PC for freePBX
MicroSIP
you just need a real cheap PC
Windows 10 or would you prefer
what’s up guest account
you will need Windows 10 Pro
for remote desktop
You probably should have posted this in a different category
I’ve changed it to go into the General Discussion category! Not sure why OP put it in Scams category lol.
I’ve also changed the title to “How can I start scambaiting as a beginner?” rather than “Start…”! Much better.
I baited tech support scammers for a few years before I had my VM…it CAN be done without one.
thanks man! im so sorry!
I would STRONGLY advise against baiting without a VM, scammers can and will do whatever they can to fuck up your windows install.
VPN + virtual machine is good start. Use a vpn with a kill switch feature. I use TextNow, Skype and some prepaid sim cards for calls.
well obviously I meant not to let them connect remotely.
One can still waste their time, however…
I think some people that come in and think how do i scambait? they then get into the “Ratting” the scammers part and then as soon as they do that they fuck up the scammers PC by running Memez for example instead of actually monitoring them and saving people.
all i can say is that get yourself a VPN, a VM (Virtual Machine) and a calling app, i use TalkaTone completely free and can call any US Number, if your in the US you can use Google Voice, Text Now and Skype. These are just the ones i know off the top off my head.
Good Luck scambaiting! <3
Yummy, do you have a Discord account?
Yummy,
On Discord you will find other scambaiting groups like PCH Baiters.
Scammer info is also on Discord at TLS/Scammer.info. You’ll find a lot of support and help in these, and others, too.
