Got an unsolicited call yesterday offering me a home security system. They followed up today (spoofed number, of course) and provided a callback number of (888) 926-7336. However, when he was about to schedule a technician he looked up who actually owns the house and figured out it’s not me. He then told me to “shut my mouth and get off” and “don’t be a smart” and hung up. When I called back he claimed the number belonged to the “sheriffs department.” When I asked for what area he said “all of California.” When I called back a second time they claimed they were the FBI. Very clearly in India or Pakistan. Subsequent calls are answered by VM that claims they’re “Smart Home.” Twilio number.
They are quick to block when called out as Pakistani crap
Wow… scammer picked up did not say anything then started a clicking noise and hung up. Called 2nd time got voicemail 3rd time blocked me.
