These are all “We Buy Homes” scammers and they have been harassing me for weeks with 2-3 calls per day. I only recently started a list of numbers. I suspect it’s at minimum a phishing scheme and at worst requires an “administrative fee” before the disappear into the night.
They keep calling about my house asking if I’m interested in selling. When I started playing along they began asking questions about the property. I bought my property when it was just a piece of dirt over 20 years ago and it has never been listed or even mentioned for sale. It seems pretty stupid to randomly call 10-digit numbers (billions of combinations) on the off chance that that person wants to sell when things like MLS exist precisely for buyers and sellers to connect.
When these callers call, they don’t introduce themselves except for a fake first name then immediately jump into starting to ask questions about the property. When told I’m not answering any questions until you tell me who you are and what company you work for, they either refuse to give information or give fake information (ex. one said City Home Solutions with a website of cityhomesolutions.com. However, the domain is listed for sale (as of the date of the call 2/4/22) and the company name isn’t licensed to do business in my state.
None of the above numbers are spoofed. I called them back (after spoofing my own number) pretending to be calling back a missed number and heard the same voices who jumped right into “the reason we called was to see if you’re interested in selling your home…”
