Hi,

Around my local area in the UK a lot of people have been getting HMRC scam calls, the scam works by making the person think the HMRC has opened a fraud case against the victim or that the victim’s national insurance has been used for fraudulent activity.

Here's the number I got the call from.

07481 072274

It appears the scammers are spoofing their number to appear as a UK mobile number and each person who gets this call seems to be getting it from different numbers.

For those who are wondering HMRC is essentially the UK version of the IRS so I've tagged this with the IRS Scam tag.
