They do listen to the calls and based upon the would be victims’ gender/age/mannerism, they pickup or call back.
India’s taking the coronavirus pretty seriously at the moment and the whole place is basically on lock down. I tried to give my friends at ADV Soft/Internal Tax Service (18338080051 or 18002709908) a call yesterday to see how they were doing and they’ve actually got a message that says that most of them are away at the moment due to the coronavirus.
I'm not sure what to make of the fact that a scam call centre is taking this more seriously than my employer.
Karl Rock posted a Youtube video yesterday on the status of the “lockdown” in India. He is basically stranded in a hotel. Authorities are curtailing movement.
I also communicated with someone in Delhi yesterday. Same story. Lockdown.
