Is there any tools available to see who has been using a text now number, I am also part of a predator catching team that catches adults trying to meet children for sex. I am part of the OSINT team and looking for some help finding individuals who cover their tracks using a fake name and text now number. If you can help or steer me in the right direction that would be amazing

Unfortunately, I don’t think that there are any tools out there which would provide accurate information on who has been using a TextNow number, especially due to the way TextNow numbers work. But I suppose you could attempt to socially engineer the owner of a TextNow number into clicking on a trackable link. You can create trackable links using a service like grabify.link for example. Whenever someone clicks on a trackable link that you create, you can get some information on them including their IP address, etc. And since TextNow actually blocks almost any VPN/proxy from being used on their website or apps, the information logged is much more likely to be accurate than if the owner of the number who clicked on your link were using a different VOIP service which is more lax on VPN usage (like maybe TextFree or Talkatone).

One thought: Dial the number simultaneously from two lines, once the scammer answers the second line will announce “this is TN”
