I am currently investigating a scam, the ‘romance scam’, and we are already “devising” some plans to try to bait the scammer, since one of the victims has lost 2k, it’s crazy… anyone know of any baiting methods via Telegram? We have a few techniques developed, but not sure which would be best for the case. A seemingly legitimate website loaded with obfs scripts to try to extract your public IP, browser info, etc., we already have a few cloned websites… some kind of social engineering… I don’t know. Also, I’m a newbie in this scam-baiting world… I’ve always been into pentesting… but seeing how someone loses 2k from one moment to another hurts.
