Help me reflect my host machine in my VM

I need to know how to make my dxdiag and msinfo32 reflect my host pc. I’m using Hyper-V VM, so videos with a VMWare helper don’t work, as i cant find the folder where the files are

I don’t know about msinfo32.

But for dxdiag it is a regedit job at least in virtual box and I would expect the same in Hyper-V.

I would run dxdiag and then go to ‘display’ tab and note down the ‘Chip’ and ‘DAC’ type. Then search the registry and rename them to whatever you host machine is in those fields, there will probably be several keys to edit. Also while you’re in the regedit if you notice any other keys that look suss then change them too. you will need to take ownership of the regedit keys aswell.

@AussieScamBuster#15259 alright, thanks. Another question, which VM software do you recommend. I dont want to spend 300$ on VMWare

@vvaves#15294 Use the non commercial version of vm ware. its free

@vvaves#15294 Like scraps210 said or VirtualBox is a free one aswell, plenty of youtube vids on how to make virtualbox stealthy

I prefer virtualbox over VMWARE, Virtual box is free and offers some of the paid stuff on vmware on virtualbox for free (snapshots etc)

@GamingFlamin#15353 well my friend vmware is free but virtualbox is faster
