The scammers sent an unwanted spam call to my Google Voice line on the false pretense of providing “legal help.” The agents who answer my calls are Pakistani and simply introduce themselves as the “Health and Safety Department,” when the actual identity of their company is “Have a Lawyer,” a fraudulent lead generation service operated by Jake Gabbard that falsely claims to operate from 30 N Gould St., Sheridan, Wyoming.
The company’s website also features a contact page where, when users submit their contact requests, they are also forced to give consent to receiving telemarketing calls, texts, prerecorded messages and artificial voicemails even if their number is on the national do-not-call registry. And on that same page, if you click on their “terms of use” and “privacy policy” buttons, all the website will do is scroll up.
