Gurugram Police RAIDS, shuts down tech support scam operation (20 ARRESTED)

On August 24, 2024, police in Gurugram conducted a series of raids under “Operation Endgame” against a tech support scam operation conducted from three apartments at the Flora Avenue 33 complex at C2MP+H7X, Badshahpur Sohna Rd Hwy, Islampur Village, Sector 33, Gurugram, Haryana 122022, India.

The scammers were known to generate fraudulent popups and send bulk voicemails to Americans under the guise of Microsoft or Apple, gain remote access to their devices and charge their victims $100-500 through the purchase of gift cards. The scammers also used X-Lite as their softphone.

20 individuals were arrested during the raid: 16 men and 4 women, including manager Mahender Bajrang Singh. 25 cell phones, 16 laptops, and $596.56 in rupees were seized.
