They just disconnected and I called back 226-828-5827 but it now goes to Tax Debt Settlement.
What exactly is the scam, and how does it work?
They want ur address I think phishing scam
Looks like they blocked me now. Did a check, they are on FIBERNETICS CORPORATION - ON phone network
First time I called it was Groceries coupons scam. Peter said I would be sent these coupons but I have to pay for shipping so they wanted credit card. I gave fake info, kept them on call for a long time. Finally they disconnected. I called back, got a message about Debt Settlement. Called back again got medical alert message. Think they are running many different scams on one number.
Changed my number and called and I got Tax Debt Settlement services. You have to choose the option that you have more than $5000 Tax debt. Unfortunately I said $4827. Guy was american not from India. I called him scammer and he goes “Oh my God” and disconnected
Ya first i got a diff message then went into tax services … The 226 area code CANADA.
Wont give web site or 1800 # gave excuses about canadian zip …
This time I used a Dallas number and got another scam. This time they wanted to send me gift card. I kept the scammer on phone for only 15 minutes this time with 3 wrong credit card numbers. He finally caught on and disconnected.
Guys, looks like the Tax Debt Settlement services is genuine. I think what the scammers have done is redirect the 226 number to this genuine place. I tried explaining that to the Manager Richard Goldbaum but he was too busy with actual clients to listen.
