Additional information about this scam:
Got a call from “Venmo support” asking me if the issue was resolved on my account.
the guy wanted me to install HelpDesk Host on my cell phone to give them remote access.

When I called back this number, it was high school in Missouri. The lady who picked up was very sorry about the call and someone is spoofing thier number.

Yes. the High school operator was saying she has been getting a lot of call from victims :frowning:

Anything we can do to rectify it?

not really unless you can get into their system to remove it lol They have a SIP provider that still allows spoofing.
