Google's Call Screen functionality looks like it'll help defeat scammers

Hey everyone, im super excited about this new Google Call Screen functionality thats coming to the Pixel range of phones later next year. What it’ll be able to do is allow the victim to screen the call, and keep a transcript of what the scammer is saying.

Here's what the transcript service will look like.

Personally, myself, I think it'll be awesome to screen calls from unknown or spoofed numbers.

Needs more features

@Tails#61956 This is exploitation and complicity by google. They will make money by offering that feature. Think about that for a moment. Google now has the ability to identify scammers. And yet rather than make them go away altogether via law enforcement or civil action, they offer a feature to to act as a gatekeeper. The most gullible are left to be preyed upon as intended. As teamviewer says “make sure you are connecting with someone you trust” and yet scammers keep on scamming. Just keep pressing the positive responses, its cool.

@1888TechLineOfficial#61966 It’s only on the pixel range of phones and it’ll be enabled by default in the next Phone App update.
