So, my grandma went to utube.com by mistake, instead of youtube.com. Immediately, upon searching for a song she likes, she got a free gift card pop up! Someone, please investigate?

This is normal. Scammers use typosquatted / misspelled sites and from there they redirect you to popups etc.
You can prevent that by making a bookmark on the real Youtube for her so she always gets to the original site or also tell her to make sure she checks the address in the address bar to make sure it's the correct one.
