Got two different scammers, both wanted full SSN and were more than eager to hang up if not provided. Extremely rude right off the bat and very offensive. One guy argued that I should go back and listen to my voice mail even though I repeatedly told him that I didn’t have voice mail and was just calling because my Caller ID showed a missed number from them. These guys need to be pounded with calls refusing to give full SSN and only last 4 to teach them a lesson.
@Otis#153984 Well, Granny got through and played the game… spoke with a Mr. Ray Miller and tweaked him until he couldn’t stand it any longer. This guy was pretty bad though, and had to repeat, or sometimes even triple the script as he kept losing his place in it. He kind of got bent out of shape when Granny told him that she didn’t have a drivers license, so there was no way those bad people in Texas could have rented a car with her information other than just a name. For some reason, he just couldn’t seem to grasp the concept. Anyway, it went quickly down hill from there ending with the US marshal coming to my doorstep to arrest me, and me greeting them with a nice fresh baked cake.
One note - I have, over the course of dozens and dozens of these SSA calls, come to the conclusion that they have absolutely NO IDEA what renting a car is or how you do it. They seem to be going on the impression that you tell them your name, flash your social security card and -bamm- the car is titled under your name. SMH.
Yup first time I call it they wanted full SS. … Nope I told last 4 of their phone number … stays in dailing but blasting them with double phone anyway hope they hear the Damn phone ringing amd ring 2 at once
