Extra Info: Geek Squad Refund Scam posted on Bob’s website today, 23-Jun-2021, at about 2:14 PM Central.
It is a landline phone number. The carrier is Commio, LLC.
I called just now, 2:32 PM Central, and I could barely hear what he was saying as it was VERY LOUD in the background. I heard him answer as Geek Squad but then I could not hear him well enough to understand what he was saying as the sound of voices in the background was VERY LOUD.
Maybe someone else will be able to hear whoever answers well enough.
I am going to try again as well.
I got someone on two more calls I made.
On the first call, I asked for help because my computer is running VERY SLOWLY and it just started running slowly. He said they do not help with such a thing and hung up.
On the second call, I asked for help installing some security software because I am not able to figure out why it is not installing, and this different guy said that they do not help with that, and he hung up abruptly.
Maybe they have been slammed already today and maybe they are very skittish.
Per the internet, the real number to Geek Squad is 1 (800) 433-5778.
When I google (631) 366 - 8226, I find no results.
