interesting its a Utah area code. different change of scenery. I got 3 beeps, however.
They are answerin’ now for me. I wonder why you get 3 beeps, @ObamaIsntReal.
probably because google voice being wonky, or my isp is. idk ![]()
Bummer. I am using my TextNow. Maybe it is google voice or the isp.
801-610-6380 … Just now I called again from my TextNow but it says the number I have reached is busy and to try again later.
that could be why it was beeping also
Yeah, I was thinkin’ the same thing.
Just keeps ringing for me on GV. & on TN drops after about 8 rings.
is it possible scammers can filter VOIPs from their lines? I am not a telecommunications expert. because I got a textnow number and they ain’t answering me neither.
I do not know of any way to block only VOIP numbers in general.
When I have logged into google.voice.com to switch my Google Fiber VOIP landline to not show my real phone number but instead to show UNKNOWN NUMBER, I have called scammer numbers that are VOIP phone numbers and on the first call I made my “UNKNOWN NUMBER” VOIP was blocked, though sometimes my “UNKNOWN NUMBER” is not blocked by some other VOIP phone numbers of scammers.
Are you logging into your Google Fiber Phone account to show UNKNOWN NUMBER, @ObamaIsntReal?
Yeah, now I get from my TextNow again the Number You Have Reached Is Busy Please Try Again.
The last couple of calls someone answered but each time the person said nothing at all. They seem to have lost their enthusiasm!
I sure hope WE had something to do with that ![]()
All of the EXCESSIVE spite and pettiness that I have possessed since birth FINALLY is paying off. What better way is there to purge myself of my excessive spite and pettiness than messin’ with criminals? Now people in my personal life have asked me why I seem to be more pleasant and less spiteful! ![]()
Vulgar… they mock
no, I am using just a traditional google voice number.
Oh @ObamaIsntReal, then it is not because you switched it to show Unknown Number within voice.google.com website. So maybe it was some other issue.
My primary phone number is my Google Fiber VOIP, so I do not want to show my real VOIP number if I am messing with scammers and therefore I switch it in the site to show Unknown Number. There HAVE been rare instances when a scammer tells me my real VOIP phone number even though I switched it to Unknown Number, so sometimes maybe the call logs of THEIR VOIP phone system must show my real phone number. I just laughed it off though and said that I am using software to spoof my phone number by showing a fictitious phone number that is not my real number, and fortunately it did not seem like I started getting harassed by those scammers who must have found my real number in their call logs.
it said the anonymous id caller was off. I think I have maybe called these chodes before and they blocked me?
Yes @ObamaIsntReal, if you had the anonymous id caller OFF then they could have blocked your number.
One thing about turning ON the anonymous id caller before calling scammers is that if you do not turn OFF the anonymous id caller when you are done scam baiting or scam harassing and then you call someone you know, he or she might not answer! I know from experience with myself forgetting to turn OFF anonymous id caller after messing with scammers and then wondering why some people I know are not answering my calls.
I would suggest though that you turn ON the anonymous id caller when you mess with scammers because they can be spiteful and post on the internet that YOU are a scammer or something malicious like that, not to mention that at least some scammers sell phone numbers they have called to other scammers I think.
