Remote Access Software: ConnectWise from d4khelp.top or yhhelp.top, UltraViewer (Nickname: “Server,” ID: 104268135/DESKTOP-74RSB9) or LiteManager Pro.
Their ConnectWise domain was blocked by my Internet Service provider, so the deafchod blamed it on my Internet not being “secure” and instead asked me to download UltraViewer.
- Once remotely connected to my virtual machine, he asked me to go to bit.ly/geekforms and fill out a “cancellation form”
- Once the form is complete, I was asked to log into my nonexistent bank account. But since I don’t do online banking, the bhenchod transferred the call to “Richard,” who falsely claimed UltraViewer was “AI,” viewed my installed programs and services and failed to download ConnectWise from d4khelp.top and yhhelp.top.
- As a last resort, the bhenchod downloaded LiteManager and disabled real-time protection on Windows Defender once it detected the program as a virus before once again attempting to download ConnectWise from d4khelp.top and yhhelp.top.
- The deafchod then wanted me to enroll in online banking, which was impossible for me to do, before transferring the call to a co-worker who also wanted me to enroll in online banking before quietly disconnecting the call.
